Newcomer Fifty Fifty received favorable reviews for their debut album with deep musicality and colorful images.
100 days after their debut album, they are making a comeback with their first single album [The Beginning: Cupid].

This album is a prequel, the first beginning of the Fifty Fifty worldview, and shows the multi-layered inner world of the four girls facing a new beginning. In addition, the pure and clumsy images of innocent girls who do not know their charms are honestly captured with excitement and fear.

The gap between the desire to do well and the reality that does not go according to one's will. Cupid, the only one the girls can rely on in that precarious situation. Cupid is a talisman in the mind in an unstable psychological state, sometimes giving girls relief, but also causing resentment when things don't go well.

The moment the passive girls become independent, they no longer need Cupid. It contains the message of overcoming fear and changing by breaking away from Cupid, which has been subconsciously dependent. 'Cupid' is a song that shows the growth process of four girls and their beginning.

'Cupid' announces the beginning of the song with a retro-style melody reminiscent of chanson and a faint voice. 이번 앨범은 피프티 피프티 세계관의 첫 시작인 프리퀄로써, 새로운 시작을 마주한 네 소녀의 다층적인 내면을 보여준다. 더불어 자신들의 매력을 알지 못하는 천진한 소녀들의 순수하면서도 서툰 모습들을 설렘, 그리고 두려운 감정과 함께 솔직하게 담는다.

잘 해내고 싶은 마음과 뜻대로 되지 않는 현실의 괴리감. 그 불안한 상황에서 소녀들이 유일하게 의존할 존재, 큐피드. 큐피드는 불안한 심리 상태에서 마음속의 부적 같은 존재로, 소녀들에게 안도감을 주기도 하지만, 일이 잘 풀리지 않을 때는 원망을 불러일으키기도 한다.

수동적이었던 소녀들이 주체적으로 바뀌는 순간, 소녀들은 더 이상 큐피드를 필요로 하지 않는다. 이는 무의식적으로 의존하던 큐피드에서 벗어나, 두려움을 이기고 변화한다는 메시지를 담고 있다. 'Cupid'는 네 소녀의 성장 과정, 그 시작을 보여주는 노래이다.
